At this facility, designed for training and resting, you can also learn about the charms and natural environment on Mt. Rokko through a series of panels and videos explaining the nature and history of the mountain, and local plants and animals. The observation terrace affords an excellent view of the city of Kobe and Kobe Airport. In the garden, where some artworks are on display, there is a monument honoring the Englishman Arthur Hesketh Groom, who made a great contribution to the development of Mt. Rokko. There is also an arbor and a pergola, which serve as rest areas for hikers.
